XPeng G9L Interior Unveiled: AI Adaptive Seats and 88-Inch AR-HUD Lead the Tech Pack

XPeng has released official interior photos of the G9L, positioning the model as a global flagship five-seat technology SUV. At 5,120 mm (202 inches) long with a 3,100 mm (122 inches) wheelbase, the G9L is 102 mm (4 inches) longer than the current G9 — with the extra length going entirely to rear legroom.

The cabin follows a tech-luxury theme. The center console adopts a dual-use floating island design, and the G9L debuts what XPeng calls all-body-type AI adaptive contouring seats, AI zero-gravity seats, and a powered four-motor executive center console.

The front seats pack 91 pressure sensors capable of detecting weight changes as small as 2 grams (0.07 ounces). With a single touch, the seats continuously adjust their support to the occupant's posture, adapting to drivers and passengers of any build.

The most eye-catching piece of tech is an 88-inch AR head-up display — the largest of its kind in the class, according to XPeng. The projection syncs with the starlight headliner and stays legible even in bright sunlight. The center stack also includes a 9-inch streaming rearview mirror and a 21.4-inch 3K eye-care display that can be viewed from both the front and rear seats.

For comfort and privacy, the G9L is equipped with 270-degree three-panel electric sunshades that deploy at the push of a button to block heat and glare.

Powertrain details were confirmed by XPeng earlier. The G9L will be offered in both pure-EV and extended-range (EREV) versions. The EV rides on an 800V architecture, with a rear-drive single-motor layout rated at 270 kW (362 hp) and an all-wheel-drive dual-motor version at 430 kW (577 hp).

Battery options are 91 kWh and 110 kWh, delivering a CLTC range of 672 to 805 km (418 to 500 miles). The EREV version pairs a 63.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a range extender.

Following XPeng's global playbook, the G9L is expected to be a global model and could launch in European markets in the future.
