Audi cuts Q6 and A7L prices in China by up to $28,000, now starting at about $39,100

SAIC Audi announced limited-time pricing on September 3 for the Q6 and A7L, with the Q6 now starting at 279,800 yuan (about $41,650) and the A7L at 262,800 yuan (about $39,100), running through September.

Against the original list prices, the Q6 entry trim drops 187,800 yuan (about $27,950) and the A7L entry trim 155,900 yuan (about $23,200), a cut of nearly 190,000 yuan at the top end, and this is already SAIC Audi's second official price cut this summer.

In early July the two models first got limited-time pricing at 299,000 yuan (about $44,500) each, and less than two months later the A7L has slid to 262,800 yuan, another 36,200 yuan (about $5,400) lower, while the Q6 fell from 299,000 yuan to 279,800 yuan, another 19,200 yuan (about $2,860) off.

Take the 2026 Q6 40 TFSI Commemorative Edition seven-seater, whose original list price was 467,600 yuan (about $69,600), since its limited-time price of 279,800 yuan brings the bare-car cost under 280,000 yuan and a full on-the-road price of about 314,000 yuan (about $46,700), a level where buyers used to land only a high-spec Toyota Highlander or a mid-trim VW Teramont rather than a mid-size Audi SUV over 5.1 meters (about 17 feet) long.

The A7L is even sharper, since the 2026 model only launched on August 27 with seven trims priced from 418,700 to 666,200 yuan (about $62,300 to $99,150), and its 262,800 yuan limited-time price drops this mid-size luxury sedan into the high-$30,000s, overlapping the FAW-Audi A4L, a sign of just how fierce the price war among luxury brands in China has become.
